![]() Maren A. Jochimsen holds a Doctorate in Ecological Economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, where she subsequently worked as researcher. Her postdoctoral research on the integration of caring activities in economic science took her to the University of Cambridge, Harvard University, and the University of Amsterdam. maren.jochimsen[at]epws.orgFor the past 15 years she has done research on gender issues in science, networking for the representation of women scientists in academia and its decision-making bodies, as well as for the incorporation of gender research interest in national research programmes. She has longstanding substantial experience in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary work. She has published on ecological economics, institutional economics and care and economics and is co-founder of the Network Vorsorgendes Wirtschaften (Caring Economy) and founding member of the European Section of the International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE). Before joining EPWS she was employed at the Guaranteebank for Social Economy in Cologne, specializing in the financing of social enterprises and organizations. She is co-editor of the interdisciplinary publication series Lebensweltoekonomie (Life-world Economics) which started in 2004. |
