Prior to joining the European Platform of Women Scientists in January 2007, Emmanuelle Causse was a Project Researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) in Vienna (Austria), where she principally worked on the implementation of the EU social policy in Central and Eastern Europe.

Earlier in her career, she gained EU public affairs experience in Brussels where she worked and completed several traineeships for the European Parliament's DG Research, Division of Social and Legal Affairs, as well as for the Ile-de-France Regional Office and the think tank Friends of Europe.

Emmanuelle graduated in Political Science from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (“Sciences Po”), Toulouse (France) and holds a degree in Law from the University of Toulouse. She was also awarded a Master degree in European Studies from the University of Aalborg (Denmark) and a Diploma in European Public Affairs and Lobbying from the Institute for Public Affairs and Lobbying, Brussels (Belgium).

A French national, she is fluent in English and German.
